MY ENGLISH PROGRESS

WRITTENS TASK:
Since the first composition to the last one there are a lot of differences on my English progress. I used to wrote more easy and simple as you can see on my first composition, (an e-mail to a teacher where I explained my life). The last one was a formal letter for a President complain about the child explotion in their country and we can observe the progress on the contain. 
On the linguistic arguments, I can see that at the begining of the course the structure was very simply and now is more formal and worked. The vocabulary used in the first post was more basic and in the last one has been more specific. 
To conclude, I can say that I did a big develop from the first course of "Batxillerat" to the final of second, so I have improved my maturity in the written documents. 

ORAL PRESENTATION:
About my oral presentation, I can say that I have improved a lot my English since the first presentation, that was about weddings, to the last one, about my research project: my reserch project: did really know what we pay?. I can observe a lot of differences, specialy on the way to did it: I did the first one with my friends and the last one alone, so it has been a big step for me. Also, I can see that the topic was very different. The first was more objective and the last more subjective, because I explain what I did in my reserch project. 
On the linguistic arguments, I can see that my pronunciation has improve a lot. More over, my language is better than in the past,  I have more fluency to speak in public and I have improved with the eye contact.

When I listen this song all arround me change, because it gives to me good vibes like the summer is coming and I will enjoyed a lot. Also, this song motives me to study for everything that will com later like the university.

"INCREDIBLE SHRINKING CAR" DRIVES SIDEWAYS TO PARK IN TINY SPACES

As cities continues to grow at a dizzying rate, all the commuters are fighting to have a parcking to go to their jobs.  But now, a group of German engineers have the solution, a "flexible" electric car capable of shirnking.

The EO smart Connecting Car 2 is an innovation design from DFKI Robotics Innovation Center, in Germany. 

It drives like a traditional car because each wheel is powered by his own motor. Also, it can drive sideways for past into tight spaces, in urban areas where parking is limited.

It has a top speed of 65km/h and it can travel 50 or 70km with a single battery for four hour. 

In my point of view I think that this car is an amazing thing, because it can reduce her size and it can be very useful.

CVSPP

Today, we went to play a volleyball match in Vall d'Hebron, Barcelona. It was an important one, but it was very difficult  to win because they are the firsts of the league. We fought a lot and we losted it, but now we can fight up to the second category. We have to play only two more matches, one of them in Sant Just, and the other one in Sant Pere versus Mataró. We can do it, because they are the last ones and we are the thirds.

It is going to be very hard to get it, but we can do it.  

AND NOW FOR MY AUDIENCE WITH THE QUEEN! "BESOTTED" WILLIAM AND KATE HAVE SETTLED ON A NAME FOR THE PRINCESS... BUT WILL ONLY REVEAL IT ONCE THE PRINCE HAS INFORMED HIS GRANDMOTHER IN PERSON

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided on a name for their daughter but they decided to inform the Queen personality before the publicity.

The wait for the name has led to a betting bonanza, with Charlotte and Alice the clear favourite. 

It is expected that William and Kate will leave London with their two children this morning.

Kate's mother Carol and her sister Pippa were first to have a cuddle with the little princess.

In my point of view, I think that for William has to have a tradition to say the name first to the Queen, because they were together a lot of time during his childhood, so they decided to wait for the Queen.

Besotted

ANNA'S BIRTHDAY

The 22nd of April was the birthday of my best friend, Anna. She did 18 years old, so we did a surprise party for she. 

A week ago to the party, my friends and I met to prepare some things for the party, like we did a photocall and the postcard. When the day arrives all of us were very nervous, because we had to do a lot of things. First of all, Anna went to see a match of basketball all the afternoon, so two of my friends went to preparation the garage for the party. I was playing a match of volleyball in Sant Pere and when it finished I went to help my friends in Anna's house. When I arrived, we went to the supermarket to buy the dinner. At night, all the friends arrives and we finished to prepare all. 

When all where prepared and arrives in her house and she had a big surprise for all. We had dinner, fun and to finish the night we went to barraques in Figueres. 

MY PLAN FOR THE SUMMER

This summer is going to be different to the others. Why?

First of all, when I will finish the "selectivitat", I am going to go to Menorca with my friends in Sant Joan. We are traveling to the Balear's Island because we want to celebrate that we finish the bachilor and the selectivitat exams. We are going to flight there the 21st and we get back on 26th of June. 

After that, I amb going to work, in the afternoons this holidays. I will work in Mas Gusó, a restaurant and a wine shop in Sant Pere Pescador. 

A part of that, during mornings I will go to the swimming pool, to the beach and the river with my friends.

I think that this summer it will be different because it will be the first time that I will work. 

After the summer, I am going to study in Barcelona. I will study the degree in Business Administration and Management, like my sister does. 

MINI TRIP IN MILAN (PART 3)

The third day, we did an excursion. We woke up earlier and we went to take the train in the Central Station and we travelled to Lago Commo. This town is where George Clooney has a house in the big lake. We arrived with the train and we went to see if we could take a boat to visited the big lake,and we took one. We couldn't saw the George Clonney house because he bought a part of the lake so it is private property. After that, we went to had lunch and we went to visited the city center. In the afternoon, we took the train to came back to Milan. We arrived so tired and we went to the hotel to rest for the night, that we went to had dinner, as it was the last night in the big city. 
The next day was the last day, and it was horrible. We woke up, we went to do the last shops and we went to take the train. After that, we arrived at the airport and we flight to back home.

MINI TRIP IN MILAN (PART 2)

The next day, we woke up earlier and we went to the Duomo square. There we go up to the top of the cathedral, where we can see the best views of the city. After that, we went to take a bus for tourists, there we saw all the city in the bus. We go out of the bus and we went to visit the castle of the city. In the afternoon, we went to Buenos Aires street where there are shops and we did some shopping. At night, we went to dinner in a typical Italian restaurant, where we ate pizza and pasta. In the same street, there where a lot of woman that they look your hands and they see your future, it was amazing, because there where a lot of them.

I am writing to enquire about child exploitation in your country. This situation is very frequent because too many  children do not go to school and they have to go to work from very early ages. Their workday is very long and they have to do the same thing all the time. Also, they are working inside big factories because they have to do a lot of things.  multinational companies  take on children as they have small hands and arms and they can do specific work. The worst of the worst is that there are low salaries to do a lot of work.

I wish child explotion definitily would disappear for ever. Children are not prepared for do what the multinacional demands. Also, they do not have any resources to survive, so they have to work a lot to try to survive. I wish you would reduce it for avoid this problems in your country.

MINI TRIP IN MILAN (PART 1)

Last easter, my family and I went to the capital of the fashion, Milan.

The first day I woke up at six o'clock and we took the car to go to the Barcelona airport. When we arrived there, we took the plane and we flight to Milan. At two o'clock we arrived in the airport and we took the train to go to the city center. Then, we went to the hotel and after that we went to lunch. In the afternoon we went to visit the big city. We walked in the "II Quadrilatero d'Oro" where there are the most exclusives shops of fashion. Also, we went to see the Vittorio Emanuele II Galleries, where there are exclusives shops, too. In front of it, there is the Duomo square, where there is the big cathedral of the city.

SPAIN: ABORTION BILL ENDANGERS GIRLS

In Spain the Popular Party should withdraw a bill that would force the girls of 16-17 years old to obtain the consent of their parents to terminate the pregnancy. 
The right party says that it can produce a serious threat to the health and sexual.
The proposte legislative change says that the girls of 16-17 years old would be obligated to obtain consent from their parents before terminating a pregnancy.
International human rights law recognizes the access to safe and legal abortions is fundamentals to women and girls exercice for their human rights.

In my point of view, I think that it's a good law to approve because if a girl of 16 years old has a child, the parents of the mother of the child has to take care for the two, because she is very young.

HUMAN RIGHTS

1. What are human rights? The rights you have simply because you're human

2. When and why were they created? In 1948, because after the war they saw the horror caused and they decided to created the human rights because it doesn't happen again.

3. How many human rights are there? There are 30 human rights.

4. Which human right were you not familiar with? The right to play, asylum, rest and relaxation.

VOCABULARY

Slavery: slavery began in the New World in the 16th century.

Unfair: It's unfair, we are all equal.

Detainment: The policeman did the detainment of the thief.

Trial: They are on trial for armed robbery.


I chose the human right of education because I think that it's an important one from my point of view. This is respected in Spain, but it's violated in Africa, where a lot of children didn't go to the school.

FINAL REFLECTION

1. Can you see an improvement on your level of English in these last two years? 

Where, for example?

Yes, because when I started my were very shorts and simple vocabulary. For example, in my first post in the blog that it was in October on 2012.

2. Which activity best shows your level of English? 

I think that the post that I show my best level of English is this, because I show all, like my pronunciation, my languaje and more things. 

3. Which activities were really USEFUL for you to improve your English? Why? 

I think that the usful to improve your English are the news, because you learn a lot summarize the newas and doing your opinion. I say that because is the part of my blog that is more difficul for me. 

4. Which activities did you not find useful to learn English? Why not? 

In my point of view, all what we do in class is useful but I think that the traduction of the songs is less useful, because is very tiresome, but yo can know what the song say. 

5. Which activities would like to do again next year to keep on improving your English? 

I think the your-says because you explain what you like and you have more inspiration, because you like the topic.

I think that we have to talk more in class for improve our pronunciation.

ORAL PRESENTATION - FAMILY

Last two weeks, Mireia, Carla and me, we did a presentation about a Global issue, so we decided to did a the Family.

SELF-EVALUATION:

PRESENTATION(10%): We use a prezi where we put the general information and some photos that it can help us. The resources were a big support for us. Our presentation, lasted more or less 15 minutes talking all of us 5 minutes. MARK: 7%

BODY LANGUAGE & EYE CONTACT(10%): I think that I looked to the audience, but I saw a lot the prezi and also Mireia and Carla. I read some things that I didn't remember. MARK: 8%

STRUCTURE(10%): I think that we organize our presentation well, we started with our self-presebrarion, and then we started explaining our topic. MARK: 10%

CONTENT (40%): We introduce news ideas and news to audience. MARK: 30%

LANGUAGE (20%): There was rich vocabulary, sentence linkers and fillers. MARK: 15%

PEONUNCIATION (10%): I knew how to pronounce all the words, but in front of the class I was very nervous so some words I pronounce awful. MARK: 6%

I think that we did well, but with some things to correct.

Apple desing a new model of Iphone, that could finally Apple's battery woes. 

The news informations of the Iphone 6 will have arounded, thinner design and a larger screen. It could also feature a protruding camera, and boast new filters. 

The application makes the  power-saving changes, because now the battery of the Iphone is very bad. It also decrease the amount of power for use the phone more time.  

I think that it's going to be a big change of the tecnology, because we can use the phone all the day. But it can perjudice in the others phone companyes because all the people want to have the best phone if they can have.

In my point of view, it's normal that all the celebrities deal her skin, because they have to be on TV every day, so they have to be beautiful with themselves.

BAD NEIGHBOURS

Last week, my friends and I went to the cinema to saw the premier of the new film of Zac Efron.

The film is about a happy family which they have a baby and they live in a good neighborhood, but one day appear a brotherhood and all the problems appear. The new guests do all the nights parties and what they want. So the family have to survive with this problems and they survive. 

I like this film but I thought it would be better. Also, I really like the character Zac Efron, that he appears in High School Musical (as a Troy Boltton).

"WE'LL BE HAPPIER IF WE WORK FEWER HOURS AND HAVE MORE FREE TIME. WE'LL SOCIALIZE MORE AND CAN DO WITHOUT PILES OF CONSUMER GOODS THAT WE HAVE NO NEED FOR"

Nowadays, a lot of people are saying that we are going to be happier if we do not go shopping. But, it is true? In my opinion it is true. 

Firstly, I feel that working less hours can be a big change, for all of us, because we can spend more time with our family or socialize withe other people. 

Secondly, the society is focus only to producemore and more to earn more money to consume and they think that are going to be happier, but in my point of view, it is a wrong mentality. We can be happier without all the goods, because we have things that we do not use. 

In conclusion, society is buying more stuff that they do not need and they are working a lot without free time to have fun.
